Dwight Stephens Testimony

My name is Dwight Stephens. I am 23 years old. I was born April 16 1997 in Scott County Tn. I was raised in Whitfield County Ga.

When I was 3 I got into some Benadryl and overdosed. I died 3 times in the hospital I had 23 staff members working on me to keep me alive at Hamilton Medical Center. I was sent to Erlanger children’s Hospital where they stabilized me. I began to have silent seizures that my parents didn’t know about.

In kindergarten I wanted to sleep a lot they held me back. I did ok but had same problems in first grade but passed to 2nd grade. I had same problem in 2nd grade I even fell asleep in class the teachers couldn’t wake me up they let me sleep for 2 hours when they called my momma she was fired up mad boy. They took me to dr and they done test on me. They told my parents I was having seizures they put me on medication for it. It still happened. I would be tired all the time so they done more test and found that I had a heart murmur, WPW (Wolff Parkinson White syndrome.)And Afib. I had 5 valves going to my heart where it was only supposed to be 4 so Point A wasn’t going to Point B. They couldn’t do surgery until I was 10. I went to Atlanta Ga when I was 10 and after that I did good. I felt better.

I was getting bullied in school everyday these boys told me that they would kill me and put me in a while at the school and so I didn’t want to go back to school. I went home crying and telling my momma I was not going back and I meant it. There momma goes again to the school. I was being bullied I got picked on called names I don’t got much friends either. I was in special ED classes up until 9th grade of high school. I had enough of being bullied I wanted to hurt my self. I quit school where later in life I got my GED in the year of September 2019.

I wanted to give up so much but I didn’t. I was raised in church as a child loved going. Thought I was saved. I was singing and going to church growing up so the year of 2013 December 15th I got saved at my aunt and uncles house. I thank God for saving me and letting me be the young man I am today. I love traveling and serving Jesus. It’s the best thing to have is Jesus. I hope this will encourage or touch you or to see someone like me to not give up in life pray and seek the Lord never give up.
